Regarding his "Baby" Brother...

Bennett (said while poking his brother on the top of the head with his index finger): Mom, babies aren't 'spose be big like this one; they're 'spose to be tiny, tiny. That's what they're for!

Oh Baby! (August Edition)

Emma Jean entered this world at 7:53 this morning, weighing in at 8 pounds, 2 ounces and measuring 19.5 inches long! Many congratulations to my dear cousin Adelle, her husband Mike, big sister Megan and big brother Jacob!

Pumpkin points of view...

Conversation with Bennett last night, while making supper:

Bennett: I want a dad.

Heza: You had one.

Bennett: Yeah, but he made bad choices.

Heza: That he did, my son.

Bennett: I want a new one.

Heza: Okay.

Conversation with BP1 last weekend:

BP1 (while referencing a fore mentioned "dad" in conversation): ...with...you know...(pause)...I don't want to call him that.

Heza: You can call him whatever you want. I call him the sperm donor.

BP1: Stupid. No, Stupid Head.

Heza: Okay.

BP1 (picking up previous conversation at point of detour): ...well, Stupid Head...

Pre-Amble

Since we were heading to the MINE, of all places, I took a picture of the crew before we left...as proof that they did start the day out CLEAN and looking pretty damn cute!

Until Next Time

After an eleven day weekend, BP1 & BP2 have been sent back home. Despite the standard deal of life frustrations and sibling squabbles, I think it is fair to say that we had a deliriously good time; from the simple park & ice cream runs to out of town trips and meeting a new cousin, there were so many spectacular moments...some of which I even caught on film. Now the house is quiet again and the Pumpkin and I are just winding down before returning to our usual routine tomorrow morning.
